Give Over

Give over

She desires simply
to flee
endlessly drive while
tunes and winds
screaming his songs replaying
the night she first saw their City's lights
And felt it once more for that first time
But while that which knows best
And believes the concrete cognates
Chaos overcomes her to finally just give over
For how many sleepless summer nights
Bless her, Mother Insomnia, for inspiring
inscribling inside her, thoughts
the possibility that maybe, willingly
they might, mighten they?
Just, maybe perhaps dream up a song together
the one that made her finally actually
though inconceivably pause to S t o p
and catch his breath still
warming her lips inside in mind
in the hopes that give her words to scribble through time
thriving merely for her
for him
to think she once chased the poet
who now dances inside her
Give over
