Harvest Moon Halves

Fading Slowly

Arms that saved me
and I'm Found again
And nights that loves uncertainty cried
distanced further than sea to see
Your name bespoke, foreign,
to said lips that once knew all
'twas
And songs that bonded so
now, disdained,
as though young lovers feigned emotion
repeated summers end
And here stars burning, vivid,
moreso than even Star Bright
Honor Bright
I promise, for now,
until I forget those eyes once more
And new illusions fantasize
what never may marry reality to dreams
And one day truth may whisper
the secrets you held in your blue box
and I'll read my name and hear it spoken
as tied with white ribbon,
from lips known once again
for the first time
no more.
